The Cyprus Green Party once again condemns criminal behavior against animals. The “Dog Valley Rescue Centre” dog shelter reported to the Cyprus Green Party that a number of dogs was poisoned at their shelter, while another one was shot.
In daily bases we receive reports about animal abuse or killing all over Cyprus. Unfortunately the State is not efficient enough in order to put an end to these kind of behaviors, something that exposes all of us.
We will keep insisting on the creation of an animal police but also for stricter penalties from the Courts.
We call the Minister of Justice to take initiative in order for the law to be finally applied and for stricter penalties to those who abuse animals.
